Foundation

Our Goals:
The La Jolla Town Council Foundation exists to fund and assist positive community projects and stimulating public events that either Improve La Jolla’s Quality of Life, Honor La Jolla’s History and Community Character, Promote Safe and Inviting Village Atmosphere or Foster Community Spirit and Well-being.

Project Criteria:
The La Jolla Town Council Foundation may fund and assist projects that:

  1. Benefit the community of La Jolla, as defined by our community plan
  2. Meet established Foundation goals
  3. May have been recommended by the La Jolla Town Council

Donation Process:
The Foundation would be delighted to accept your donation, including the donation of stocks and other property as well as bequeaths. If your donation is for our general funds, please indicate on your donation. It the donation is for a specific project or event, please indicate on your donation. Donations that are not identified for a specific project or event will be considered a donation to the fund, which is an unrestricted gift to the Foundation. As a 501( c ) 3, your gift is deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law; contact your financial or legal advisor. All donations will be receipted; please indicate if you would like your donation to be anonymous.

Project Partnership Process:
If you think you have a project that meets the Foundation Goals and Criteria, please contact the Foundation President. Partnership requests will be considered on an ongoing basis. We ask that written proposals be submitted at least one month in advance of a regular Foundation Board meeting. Additional materials may be requested. Your presence may be requested at the meeting or a subsequent meeting. You will then be notified of the Board’s decision. The Foundation Board is not obligated to accept a proposal.

  • Installation of many public coastal benches
  • Facilitating the restoration of local and historic public art
  • Organizing public forums on issues of community-wide concern
  • Introducing the speed monitor program
  • La Jolla Shores Playground project
  • La Jolla Cove Fireworks 2009
  • Installation of Happy Holidays banner & Village Holiday Decorations

  • The La Jolla Town Council Christmas Parade and Holiday Festival
  • Windansea Design and Erosion and Maintenance Plan
  • Nobel Laureate Park Project in La Jolla Shores
  • La Jolla Town Council Endowment Project
